Butler County banker sentenced to federal prison

Four-vehicle crash in Cranberry Township

Keith Simpson is a 60-year-old man who was serving as the West View Bank Chief accounting officer. In 2014, Simpson was starting to embezzle money from the bank where he had work. In 2016, the embezzlement stopped, but the investigation had just began.

Simpson stole over $42,000 from the bank over a period of 2 years. He was sentenced to 6 months of federal prison time, and will be released with 3 years of intensive supervision.

The Attorney General’s office was the supervisor party which led to Simpson’s conviction.
