BREAKING: Manhunt underway in Butler City

Police are continuing their manhunt after a male led the Butler City Police on a high-speed chase throughout Butler City last night. His vehicle hit a fire hydrant, and the driver escaped on foot. Officials were able to confirm that the man dropped a cell phone on Chestnut Street, in the wee morning hours.

According to state police, they have identified the suspect but will not publicly release his name. The suspect was driving a silver Chevy Cruze from Utah.

As police were wrapping up the scene and beginning their search for the man, it was apparent the fire hydrant had been leaking and started to cause an icy mess. The Butler City Fire Department used torches and flares to help melt the icy road, this took a while. Pennsylvania American Water was notified of the hit fire hydrant and the leak.

There were no updates to this story as of 4:00PM on Friday.
