Snowfall causes multiple crashes; including school buses

Only a mere 2″+ of snow fell throughout Butler County overnight, but these slick roads had parents online complaining that school should have been canceled – instead of just being delayed. After this morning, school districts may want to review their policies for school closings instead of just issuing a delay.

There were 3 reported school bus accidents. 1 accident involved a school bus and a car crash on Winfield Road at Neupert Road. The other 2 accidents including school busses losing control and wrecking into a ditch or hillside.

There was a reported car crash on Route 422 near the Lyndora exit.

Just before 10:00am – a car slammed into Country Pools and Spa’s Inc. on Route 422 in Mt. Chestnut. According to scanner traffic, the driver fled the scene and did not wait for the state police to arrive.
