Tarentum man terrorizes Butler Township neighborhoods; break-ins reported

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A Tarentum man is behind bars at the Butler County Prison after police allege he broke into multiple vehicles sitting along Vista Drive, in Butler Township. The man is that of 31-year-old Keith Reges.

Reges allegedly broke into multiple vehicles around the Grandview neighborhood area. Officers from Butler Township, Butler City, and state police assisted in the capture of the man, who was hiding behind a shrub in someones yard.

The incidents took place shortly after midnight.

Reges was charged with the following:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Theft from a vehicle
  • Defiant trespass
  • Prowling at night
  • Loitering

According to radio reports, there is still a 2nd individual being sought by police who was seen in a grey sweatshirt.
