Butler City Councils buys a ton of new vehicles

BUTLER CITY, Pa. – The Butler City Council was busy spending nearly $200,000 for new vehicles throughout the city last night!

3 brand-new 2018 Ford Police interceptor Utilities were purchased for $84,000. These new vehicles will replace their older vehicles that are plagued with issues. These vehicles will need to be outfitted with radios, lights, and sirens – so this could take several weeks to finalize.

A 2018 Ford Escape was purchased for the zoning and code management officers on-duty. This cost the city $22,000.

The last of the funds are going to be put towards a new truck for the streets department, which is currently being “spec’d” out.

Fire Department

The city fire department was looking at a demo 101′ tower, from Rosenbauer. It is unknown if they will be proceeding with this style of truck or not.
