BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. – Heavy storms will impact Butler County overnight, and last throughout the afternoon. As of now, these storms will be providing the region with torrential downpours, moderate hail, and gusty winds.
In addition to the threats of severe weather, small isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out due to convection. It is best to monitor local TV news and NOAA weather radio for storm warnings, and do not rely on social media for instant alerts.
The storms will begin as rain around 2:00am – around 9:00am the storms will move into severe thunderstorms. Between 10:00am and 2:00pm, this is the greatest threat timing for hail and gusty winds.
