BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. – The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has conducted a formal storm damage survey.
Fortunately, there was neither a tornado in Slippery Rock or Summit Township.
However, the National Weather Service did conclude a wet microburst did occur over Slippery Rock, and move northeast into Butler County.
According to a report, the National Weather Service stated “We don’t have the dynamics for a tornado.”
A farmer on West Park Road had called into the NWS hotline to report his damage, to which he believed was caused by a tornado.
