Man arrested for selling meth on Butler City street

BUTLER CITY, Pa. – A Butler City police officer encountered more than he bargained for when 32-year-old Steven Ramsey of Ellwood City was seen in a suspected drug deal.

The incident happened on South Monroe Street around 4:30am on Sunday. According to court records, the officer saw 3 people in one car but no one in a second car parked next to the occupied vehicle.

Ramsey attempted to hide something in his pants pocket. Police officers patted down Ramsey and found several drugs. Included was:

  • 7 marijuana vape pens
  • A pouch full of pills
  • Glass containers with drugs

Ramsey was charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. 

He reportedly has possession of crystal meth, LSD, Oxycodone meds, and the marijuana vape pens.
