SUV takes out Route 8 power pole

MIDDLESEX TOWNSHIP, Pa. – An SUV crashed into a utility pole along Route 8 this afternoon around 4:00 pm. according to official 911 reports.

According to our sources, a vehicle sheared off a utility pole near the base. The power lines were intact, but a new pole would have to be set nearby to support the free-standing lines.

The Toyota SUV suffered severe front-end collision damage, but no injuries were reported from the scene.

The roadway was partially closed as the vehicle was being towed away on a flatbed.
