BUTLER CITY, Pa. – An alleged serial-burglar has been caught red-handed by the Butler City Police Department.
A 37-year-old Elk County man, Eric Dippold, was caught on Wednesday night along West North Street.
According to a police report made, Dippold went up to a house and pushed in the residence air conditioner. Dippold made entry into the hallway partly when the resident confronted Dippold.
When uniformed officers entered the house, Dippold told the police that he knew the resident and was just checking up on him due to health reasons. This was in fact false.
Police interrogated Dippold where he had admitted to stealing from North Chestnut and West North Street homes.
